FUZZ WITH ANALOG FILTER
TARS is a concept pedal combining the guitar and synth worlds this time not throwing you into a black hole !
It rockets through the Ergosphere and Horizon to disintegrate directly in its center, the Singularity.
Derived from the flagship Black Hole Symmetry, TARS is inspired by its Singularity fuzz section and adds a gain setting allowing it to go from grainy low-gain sounds to round and powerful fuzz/distortion tones.
It also offers a filter inspired by the legendary Korg MS-20 in order to create fuzzy-noisy textures and cut through the mix.
This unit comes in white finish with Silver custom made knobs and faders.
A nice thing with TARS is that it's not only as a fuzz but a pedal that can do clean filter, filtered fuzz, wah with an EXP, and more.
What differs TARS from another filter pedal is its unique filter. It's more synth-ish. You can produce a real note with the Resonance at its max, you can control the cutoff curve with the 2p/4p toggle. And one more thing is you can use it as a shape/EQ control with the "add fuzz ON" toggle switch. It allows to have an unfiltered fuzz stacked with a filtered fuzz controled by the cutoff fader. Adding a bit of resonance make it really controlable in terms of shape. So it's very versatile.
Plus it does the classical things like clean filtering or put the fuzz in serial with the filter. Using it in a modular rack is easy too as it accepts CV to control the cutoff.
